For seven years, Sankore Consulting worked alongside mission-driven organizations, providing training, workshops, and short-term strategic engagements. We partnered with passionate leaders and watched as they energetically embraced new ideas and frameworks. Yet something was missing.

Workshop participants would leave inspired. Strategic plans would be created with enthusiasm. But as I followed up with organizations months later, I discovered a pattern that troubled me: despite best intentions, implementation often stalled. The impact I hoped to create wasn't fully materializing.

The original University of Sankore in Timbuktu, Mali stood as a revolutionary model of learning centuries ago. Unlike traditional universities, Sankore didn't require formal registration—it was an intellectually rigorous space where knowledge flowed through partnership rather than hierarchy.
